      "name": "Shortbarrel Cigar Batch IV",
      "description": "RELEASE IV: The Cigar Batch series has always been an exercise in patience, precision and balance. Rather than relying on a single finishing cask type to define the whiskey, the series is built by blending separately finished components, allowing different mash bills, maturation profiles and finishing casks to each contribute to the final whiskey. This year’s release incorporates whiskey finished in Armagnac, Cognac, rum, Tawny Port and Sherry casks, with Sherry casks appearing in Cigar Batch for the first time. Together, the finishing casks contribute layers of fruit, spice, oak and richness while allowing the underlying bourbon to remain at the center of the finished whiskey. The foundation of Cigar Batch #4 is built from mature bourbon components with mash bills of 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley; 70% corn, 21% rye and 9% malted barley; 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley; and 91% corn and 9% malted barley. Distilled in Kentucky and Indiana, these whiskeys were selected and blended to contribute different expressions of body, spice, fruit, oak and texture to the finished whiskey. The individual whiskey components underwent extended secondary maturation in their respective finishing casks before the final blend was assembled. Rather than finishing one completed blend in multiple cask types, Shortbarrel matures components independently and evaluates them individually before determining their role in the final whiskey. While the whiskey begins its journey in Kentucky and Indiana, Cigar Batch #4 takes its final shape in Georgia. The process reflects the approach th",

      "name": "Shortbarrel Four Grain",
      "description": "Four Grains. One Balanced Bourbon. Bourbon Built for Real Life Our flagship Four Grain is blended from select Kentucky straight bourbons and further aged under our direction in Atlanta, Georgia. Bottled at 92 proof and non-chill filtered, it delivers a full, rounded profile that works just as well neat as it does over ice or in a cocktail. The goal is simple: a bourbon with enough character for enthusiasts and enough balance to become your go-to bottle. This stays aligned with the current page’s claims that it’s a blend of four-to-five-year-old Kentucky whiskey, secondarily aged in Atlanta, bottled at 92 proof, and non-chill filtered. Perfect neat after a long day, on the rocks at the tailgate, or elevated in a cocktail at your social gathering. What Is Four Grain Bourbon? Four grain bourbon uses all four traditional whiskey grains—corn, rye, wheat, and malted barley. That combination creates a more layered and balanced flavor profile than a typical mash bill built around three grains. In Shortbarrel Four Grain, the result is a bourbon with sweetness, softness, spice, and depth in every sip. Shortbarrel Four Grain is the perfect everyday pour. Grab a bottle and make it yours.",

      "name": "Shortbarrel Sapsquatch",
      "description": "The Process Sapsquatch starts where most finished bourbons don’t—in stainless steel. We build the base using Sugar Maple Infusion Spirals, conditioning the whiskey for 6–8 weeks before it ever sees a finishing barrel. This step lays down a foundation of maple-driven depth, caramelized sugar, and toasted nut character. From there, the whiskey moves into Kelvin Cooperage toasted barrels that previously held maple syrup, sourced from Vermont and Ohio. This separation of process is intentional:Stainless builds flavor. Barrels build structure. The result is a whiskey that is bold, controlled, and repeatable batch after batch. What Makes It Different Most finished bourbons rely entirely on the barrel.Sapsquatch doesn’t. By developing flavor before finishing, we control the profile from the ground up—then use toasted oak to shape and integrate it. The profile leans: Maple-forward, but not sweet Rich in toasted and caramelized notes Structured, dry, and oak-integrated on the finish It drinks like a bourbon first—maple is part of the architecture, not the headline. Tasting Notes NoseToasted oak up front, followed by maple wood, charred sugar, dense caramel, vanilla bean, and layered baking spice. PalateBold and structured. Dark caramel and burnt sugar move into seasoned oak, with maple adding depth alongside clove, cinnamon, and roasted nut. FinishLong, drying, and oak-driven with lingering toasted wood, caramelized sugar, and persistent spice. "name": "Shortbarrel Tokaji Rye",
      "description": "This release begins with a deliberate rye foundation before any finishing decisions were made. The blend is built from four distinct 95/5 rye whiskeys, each selected for structure, spice, and texture. The intent from the outset was balance, ensuring the rye character leads, with the finish acting as an accent rather than a mask. Approximately 40% of the blend is composed of 10+ year-old rye, providing mid-palate weight, concentration, and a firm structural backbone. Younger components add lift, brightness, and aromatic precision. Only after the rye profile was finalized did we introduce finishing barrels sourced from Hungary’s historic Tokaji wine region, known for producing intensely flavored dessert wines with layered fruit and subtle honey characteristics. The Tokaji casks are used not to sweeten or soften the whiskey, but to lift and extend it, adding nuance without compromising rye’s grain-forward identity.",
