      "description": "中華救助總會創立於民國39（1950）年4月4日，原名「中國大陸災胞救濟總會」，民國80（1991）年更名為「中國災胞救助總會」，民國89（2000）年更名為中華救助總會。本會秉持「關懷、救助、服務」信念，初期以救助大陸來台、逃抵港澳或海外地區之同胞為主，並協助政府辦理中南半島、泰北難胞和國際難民及金、馬地區之救助服務工作。自民國76（1987）年政府開放大陸探親後，本會依兩岸關係發展及社會變遷，轉型服務以關懷在臺大陸配偶、推展泰緬地區華文教育、偏鄉社區服務、災害及人道援助、兩岸交流及社會福利政策倡議為主。自民國93（2004）年起，連續榮獲內政部全國性社會團體評鑑優等，並於民國98（2009）年榮獲行政院國家永續發展獎。"
